Baglist

Just say what you need.

Support

Baglist is a shopping list you speak to. Hold the bag, say what you need, and let go.

How it works

  1. Hold the bag and say what you need. Let go and it’s on your list.
  2. Say a store to sort. “Bread from Walmart, shampoo at Shoppers” gives each store its own list.
  3. Tick items off. In the store, tap an item to tick it off. Tap it again to bring it back.
  4. Shake to clear. When you’re done, shake your iPhone to clear the list. If some items aren’t ticked yet, Baglist asks first, and you can undo.

Questions

Baglist can’t hear me. What do I check?

Baglist needs access to the microphone and to speech recognition. If you declined either one, open Settings → Apps → Baglist and turn on Microphone and Speech Recognition.

How do I set up the Action button?

On an iPhone with an Action button, open Settings → Action Button, swipe to Shortcut, and choose “Add to Baglist”. Press the Action button to start listening, and press it again when you’re done.

Does it know Canadian stores and items?

Yes. Baglist knows stores such as Loblaws, No Frills, Shoppers Drug Mart, Canadian Tire and the LCBO, and items such as homo milk, bagged milk and butter tarts. A store it doesn’t know still gets its own list, named the way you said it.

Do my lists sync to my other devices?

Your lists stay on the iPhone where you made them. A list you share is kept in your own iCloud so the people you share it with can see it. Baglist has no account and no server of its own.

How do I delete a list?

Open the list, tap the ··· button, and choose Delete list. Its items move to All. To remove items instead, shake your iPhone or choose Clear ticked items from the same menu.

Deleting Baglist from your iPhone deletes all of its data.
